PENINSULAR WAR
CROSS (OFFICERS)
Created June 28, 1816
The Peninsular War Cross
was created by king John VI, to distinguish the officers who participated
in the Campaigns from 1809 to 1814, in Portugal,
Spain and France.
In Silver to those who participated in up to 3 campaigns and Gold to
those who participated in 4, 5 or 6 campaigns.
